On 14-15 December 2024, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Health Law was held in Tianjin. The theme of the conference was ‘Building the Rule of Law in Health and Promoting the Implementation of Healthy China Strategy’, which was hosted by the Chinese Society of Health Law, organised by the Beijing Medical Award Foundation, and co-organised by the Law School of Nankai University and the Journal of Medicine and Law.
Nearly 300 experts from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Southeast University and other colleges and universities and practical departments attended this meeting, and Associate Professor Liu Jianli of our college was invited to participate in this annual meeting.
The delegates focused on the legal governance of doctor-patient relationship in the new situation, the rule of law research on drug regulation, the legal research on medical security system, law enforcement research in the field of health and other topics to carry out exchanges and discussions. In the academic seminar session, Associate Professor Liu Jianli of the School made a keynote speech entitled ‘Criminal Law Logic and Limits of Drug Clinical Trial Tolerance’, which triggered heated discussions among the participants. This conference promoted the communication between the Law School of Southeast University and sister institutions and practical departments, and enhanced the visibility and influence of our medical law in the academic community.
